Sometimes we drop limited-run pieces through our local print shop. These are small-batch, made with love, and once they’re gone… they’re gone. It’s our way of keeping things fresh, exclusive, and sustainably fly.

Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing is a digital printing method used for garment printing. It involves using a specialized DTG printer that directly applies the ink onto the fabric using an inkjet printhead. Unlike traditional printing methods, such as screen printing, DTG printing does not require a separate screen for each color. This process results in high-quality prints with a high level of detail and vibrant colors. DTG printers are also capable of printing on a variety of fabrics, including t-shirts and other apparel, using a heat press to set the ink into the fabric.

Direct-to-film (DTF) printing is a relatively new technique that’s growing in popularity. DTF prints have excellent color accuracy and detail, are durable, and look fantastic. 

Other DTF printing benefits include low production costs, a wide range of color options, and the ability to print on dark and light garments. It’s also suitable for various material types like polyester, cotton, nylon, and fleece.

Screen printing is a way to print designs onto things like T-shirts, posters, or bags. It works kind of like using a stencil. A screen with tiny holes is placed over the surface, and a design is made by blocking off certain parts of the screen. Ink is then spread over the top, and it only goes through the open parts of the screen, creating the image or design below. It’s a hands-on process that’s great for bold, colorful prints that last a long time. We use this print method for those special drops.

Embroidery refers to the process of creating designs on fabrics or other materials using threads and a needle. It's a form of textile art that has been used for centuries to decorate clothing, accessories, and other items.

We partner with a global print-on-demand fulfillment team that has facilities all around the world. When you place an order, their smart system picks the most efficient fulfillment center based on your location, product availability, and shipping times.

For our Canadian fam: we prioritize the Canadian fulfillment center for Afro Boy orders within Canada whenever possible. But if the item isn’t available there, your order may ship from another location to avoid delays.

If you’re ordering from outside the USA, your shipment might be subject to customs fees or import taxes depending on your country’s regulations. These fees can vary based on your order value, product type, and local rules—and are the responsibility of the recipient.

💡 Pro tip: Be sure to include your phone number at checkout! This helps your local postal service contact you easily and reduces the risk of delays or lost packages during international delivery.

Canadian customers, take note! We’ve prioritized our Canadian fulfillment center for orders within Canada, which helps keep shipping smoother, quicker, and more affordable. However, if your item isn’t available there, it may ship from another location.

Before getting in touch with us, please help us out by doing the following:

• Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address.

• Ask your local post office if they have your package.

• Stop by your neighbors in case the courier left the package with them.

Pro tip: Package theft is on the rise— ​ If you're expecting a home delivery and you know you won't be home to accept it, use an address where you know you'll be!

If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn't left at the post office or at your neighbor’s, get in touch with us at hello@afroboy.ca with your order number. If you did find a mistake in your delivery address, we can send you a replacement order, but the new order would be at your expense.

As soon as your order ships, you’ll get an email with a tracking link so you can follow your package every step of the way—from the print shop to your front door.

If your fresh Afro Boy gear arrives with a bit of a tangy scent—don’t worry. That vinegary smell is totally normal! It’s just a byproduct of the print process and will fade after a few days (and a quick spin in the wash).

You might also notice some discoloration or a faint off-white residue on your apparel. These aren’t stains—they’re from the pre-treatment process used in our direct-to-garment printing. Like the smell, they’ll disappear after the first wash.

🌀 Our gear is printed using the latest tech and water-based, eco-friendly inks, so it’s safe for your skin and the planet.

⚠️ Before reporting an issue, please give your item a wash—most minor marks clear right up. If something still doesn’t look right after that, reach out and we’ll make it right.

Since everything we make is printed just for you, we don’t offer returns or exchanges. That said, if something’s wrong with your order—like a damaged item or a mix-up—we’ve got you.
